Signs introduces a new approach to wayfinding and outdoor lighting: a discreet system that guides guests through the resort while blending seamlessly into a vast, lush, and naturally dim environment. Conceived as both a navigational tool and a quiet design gesture, the project establishes a clear visual language that supports intuitive movement across the landscape.
The intervention centers on a family of directional signs, each integrating soft internal illumination to ensure legibility during moments of low visibility. This embedded light not only enhances the clarity of each message, but also provides a subtle glow along primary pathways—gently revealing routes and destinations without disturbing the surrounding tranquility.
The design embraces simple, confident geometries that stand in balanced contrast to the organic forms of the natural setting. This intentional distinction allows each element to fulfill its essential purpose—being visible, readable, and orienting—while maintaining a reserved presence aligned with the resort’s materiality and identity. Signs becomes an understated yet vital layer in the guest experience, illuminating the journey with precision, care, and respect for the landscape.
